Principal Clarinet of the Orchestra del Teatro Comunale di Bologna since 2015, he cooperates regularly with Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Filarmonica della Scala, Orchestra del Teatro La Fenice di Venezia, Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, Orchestra del Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala di Milano, Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini, Orchestra del Teatro San Carlo di Napoli, Orchestra del Teatro Regio di Parma.

In 2024 he was personally invited by Maestro Riccardo Muti to perform under his direction W.A. Mozart Clarinet Concerto K622 for the Ravenna Festival. He performed as soloist with Filarmonica A. Toscanini, Musici di Parma, Orchestra Teatro di Busseto. He is passionate about chamber music; in duo with his brother Federico he has performed the most important pieces in the repertoire for clarinet and piano in many Festival in Italy and in Europe. In 2014 he founded Quartetto Falstaff wich won the First Prize at International Flute Competition “Severino Gazzelloni” – Chamber Music and he is a member of Wind Nonet of Teatro Comunale di Bologna.

He received many awards in clarinet competitions, including the International Competition Valsesia Musica (1st prize), International Competition Rino Viani 2010 (3rd prize) and 2011 (1rd prize), International Competition Audimozart (2nd prize), International Calpurnia Prize at Città di Castello Festival.

He was born in Salerno, Italy in 1989. Pupil of Gaetano Russo, he graduated in clarinet at the age of 16 at the D.Cimarosa Conservatory of Avellino under Sisto Lino D’Onofrio’s guidance; he studied also with Larry Combs, Eddie Daniels, Fabrizio Meloni, Ricardo Morales and he postgraduated with top marks and distinction with Corrado Giuffredi in Modena and with Giovanni Riccucci and Bruno Canino in duo with his brother at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole.

Simone teaches Clarinet at Conservatorio di Rovigo and at Conservatorio Vecchi – Tonelli in Modena, Italy. Simone is a Backun Artist and Silverstein Pro Team Artist.

Silverstein Exchange – Buyer Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: August 1, 2025

These Buyer Terms govern all purchases made through Silverstein Exchange. By purchasing an instrument, you agree to the following:

1. Who Can Buy

  • You must be at least 18 years old (or legal age in your country).
  • You must be able to enter into a binding purchase agreement.

2. Your Account

  • You’ll need to register an account to place bids or provide an email address to purchase Buy Now items.
  • Keep your information accurate and your login details secure.

3. Buying & Auctions

  • The descriptions about each instrument are provided directly by the seller on an honesty basis.
  • Some listings are fixed-price, others are auction-based.

Auction Rules

  • Deposit Requirement: A $500 deposit is required when you place your first bid. If you don’t win, your deposit will be fully refunded immediately after the auction closes.
  • Winning the Auction: If you win, you’ll receive an email with a payment link. You may pay by credit card or bank transfer, and the full balance must be received within 14 days of the auction’s closing. Once your payment is received, the $500 auction deposit will be refunded to your original payment method.
  • Failure to Pay: If the balance is not paid on time, you will forfeit your $500 deposit and your right to claim the item.
  • Refunds & Processing: Refunds for non-winning bidders are processed automatically to the original payment method.
  • Fair Bidding Policy: All bids are binding. Please bid responsibly, knowing that deposits are required and non-refundable for winners.

4. Payments

  • Payments are securely processed via PayPal, Stripe, or bank wire (for balances).
  • Some transactions may use escrow for extra security.
  • Your billing address will be your shipping address.

5. Buyer Protection & Escrow

  • For escrow purchases, funds are held until you confirm delivery.
  • You have 14 days after delivery to approve or dispute.
  • If no action is taken, payment is automatically released to the seller on day 15.

6. Shipping & Taxes

  • Buyers are responsible for shipping (unless seller provides free shipping), and for all taxes, customs duties, and import fees.
  • International orders may face customs delays and brokerage fees which will be buyer’s responsibility to pay.
  • Shipping address must be the same as billing address of payment method.

7. Returns

  • Your return shipment must be sent within 14 days from the date you receive the item.
  • You must provide a valid tracking number within the same 14-day period to confirm the return.
  • Returned items must be in the same condition as shipped (no damage, scratches, or alterations).
  • All returns are inspected upon receipt. If approved, you’ll receive a full refund (including escrow reversal if applicable).
  • If rejected, the item will be sent back to you and you must cover return shipping.

8. Buyer Responsibilities

  • Place bids and purchases carefully; all bids are binding.
  • Do not attempt to avoid platform fees or arrange off-platform deals.
  • Misuse or fraudulent activity can result in account suspension.

9. Disputes

  • Disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration in Bergen County, New Jersey, USA.
  • No jury trials or class actions are permitted.

10. Termination of Purchase Rights

  • Silverstein Exchange may suspend or terminate a buyer’s ability to purchase if they violate these Terms, abuse the return policy, or engage in fraudulent activity.

11. Legal Notes

  • The platform is provided “as is” without guarantees.
  • Our liability to you is limited to the greater of $100 or the total fees paid to Silverstein Exchange in the last 12 months.
